The Flex Server Browser is a component that enables server folder and file browsing. It can be configured to search web server directories in multiple locations on your web server. It includes a preview panel which you can set to preview images or text information about a folder or file. It can also be configured to enable file downloads to your website users.

In the demo we've specified the current server folder and have also created an image browsing folder where you can preview the images being uploaded by the Flex File Uploader component demo. The demo contents automatically resize to 90% of the width/height allocated to the Flash file so can be used as large, medium or small module screen spaces.

This component loads it's styles at runtime via an external stylesheet and so can be easily reskinned. Flex component skinning options can be explored via Adobe's Flex Style Explorer Application.

All source MXML, ActionScript and PHP files are included in the component download.

Flex Server Browser requires PHP4 or PHP5 to be running on a shared or dedicated web server.
